Our Installation Process

How We Install Artificial Turf That Lasts

At Southwest Greens of Tennessee, we see turf installation as an art, carefully crafted to meet your needs. From initial design to final infill, we guide you through every step—laying out plans, preparing the ground, installing a strong gravel base, and seamlessly securing the turf. The result? A durable, stunning surface built to last.

01 | Design

We start by meeting with you to understand your vision, budget, and space. A detailed custom CAD drawing accompanies your estimate, allowing us to fine-tune size, shape, drainage, and undulations to your preference.

02 | Ground Prep

Not every project needs major groundwork. Some areas require just a light scalping, while others may need sod removal or extensive grading before the gravel base is added.

03 | Gravel Base

This is where your lawn or green takes shape. We use a two-layer system—crusher run as a solid foundation, topped with #10 screenings to fine-tune contours and create a perfectly smooth playing surface.

04 | Turf Installation

Now it all comes together! We carefully lay out and secure the turf, ensuring minimal seams. The final step includes adding 100% silica sand infill, delivering a stable, long-lasting finish with no rubber filler.

With our meticulous approach, you get a turf installation that looks and performs beautifully for years to come.
